Smart Camera Feeder Systems
Smart feeders, aka camera feeders, offer us close up views of the birds and allow for capturing photos or videos.
The all-in-one feeder models we sell include solar panels that charge the cameras, plus free lifetime bird identification. Models sold by many other retailers charge a monthly subscription fee.
We also have a solar powered camera-only system that can be installed near any feeder to watch your existing feeder(s).
Shop In-Store or Shop Online
Because these feeders are not squirrel-proof or raccoon-proof*, we strongly recommend it be mounted on a pole with an appropriately sized baffle to prevent damage by critters. Available in-store or online, an ideal mounting set would include:
• APS 40" Base Pole
• APS Large Stabilizer
• APS 36" Extension Pole
• APS Hanging Arms (for hanging models)
• 10" diameter Raccoon Baffle (stops raccoons, squirrels, opossums, and chipmunks
(a 6" diameter baffle is not wide enough to stop larger raccoons)
or • Squirrel Baffle (stops squirrels and chipmunks, but not raccoons or opossums)
Alternatively,Fiery Feast hot pepper seed blend can deter most squirrels and raccoons, but is not as foolproof as a properly placed baffle system.
