Chase

Unabashedly, we say there is no better dog than Chase. Everyone says so. The vet clinics, his handlers, everyone he meets, he’s a hoot and a charmer all at once. He does have energy. Got middle aged kids, Chase is your man. Run and run around the yard, he is all for it. Chase is 7 years old (not showing any sign of age, at all) and weighs in the neighborhood of 70 pounds. He’s a mixed breed. We have no idea what is all in the mix.

 

Cricket

Cricket is a very pretty girl, 7 years old who weighs about 35 pounds. She is a Carolina Dog. She will endear herself immediately. As a female Carolina, a very pack oriented breed for which the females are the pack leaders, she shows signs of intelligence and independence. One is wise to remember these dogs have survival instincts. Most Carolina Dog owners will tell you there is an element to these animals that is innately intuitive, that is intriguing. While they are excellent, devoted family pets in active households, they are not typically "needy" or overly affectionate in a conventional way and do not do well if such is asked of them. Once acclimated to a household, Cricket will, as characteristics of the breed, become intensely loyal to her owners forming intense, pack-oriented bonds with the family.

 

Thor

Thor is a quiet guy, who would like a home with another dog, perhaps a gentle female, and with folks who just enjoy having a nice big dog around. He is a Carolina Dog, 8 years old, and weighs in the neighborhood of 80 pounds. He will bond quickly. Carolina Dogs are independent, intelligent, and highly loyal pack-oriented animals. This breed can have a shy, and cautious demeanor, which is true of Thor. It will take a little bit of time for Thor to acclimate to a new home, but the rewards are many for the right home for this handsome dog as any Carolina Dog owner will tell you. His foster mom says: “I can pretty much guarantee you won't find a dog with a sweeter temperament and lovable personality.”
